EODP Applications & Guidelines Now Available

Eligible project recipients: Non-profit organizations including municipalities and municipal organizations, corporations, community economic development organizations, commercial enterprises including individuals, corporations, partnerships, cooperatives or trusts and Aboriginal organizations.

First Round Application Deadline - Noon, Monday Nov 14th 2011
Second application Deadline: November 28, 2011

Community Innovation Program
Objective:
The Community Innovation Program (CI) enables community-led economic development that enhances and diversifies local economies. Working in partnership with community stakeholders, CI builds economic and innovative capacity of rural Frontenac County communities, and develops opportunities for sustainable economic growth and employment.

Eligible Activities:
Community based economic development projects, research projects, marketing and promotional activities, tourism events, export and trade initiatives, facilitation or hosting of seminars/workshops and small scale construction or projects/physical works.

Eligible Costs:
Expenses that will be incurred by the project recipient which are reasonable, incremental and required to carry out the eligible activities as noted above. Funding contributions for Non-profit recipents may be up to 100% of total eligible costs to a maximum contribution of $100,000. Funding contributions for Private Sector For-profit may be up to 50% of total eligible costs to a maximum contribution of $100,000.

Business Development Program
Objective:
The Business Development Program supports projects that will lead to the growth of new and existing businesses within rural Frontenac County. This includes initiatives in key areas such as skills development, youth attraction, innovation and ICT adoption.

Eligible Activities:
Business plans/expansion plans, marketing strategies, feasibility studies, strategic plans, research and development initiatives, internship/job placement (12 months max), trade show attendance, incremental on the job training, business and trade opportunity development, marketing projects, innovation projects, knowledge based economy studies and plans, innovative web enhancements, creation of new websites, e-commerce, e-learning platforms, GIS applications, customized software, telecommunications improvements, broadband and internet access.
