Seeking Part-Time Project Coordinator

The Youth Engagement Strategy (YES) is an advocacy initiative under the supervision of the Wolfe Island Network (Youth Advisory Committee) and the Wolfe Island Community Center Board.
YES has received a Spark Advocacy Grant through the Heart and Stroke Foundation to fund a part-time project coordinator and initiate advocacy efforts. The purpose of the grant is to increase access to physical activity and healthy eating for Wolfe Island youth.

YES is currently seeking to engage the services of a part-time project coordinator ($25/h for 150h total – February 13th to October 31st 2012). Duties would include:-
Implement and advocacy strategy to develop an after-school program that incorporates physical activity and healthy eating.
- Advocacy for a school/community garden project.
- Organization of a youth-oriented activity fair showcasing Wolfe Island and Kingston groups that are dedicated to youth physical activity and healthy eating.

Interested individuals should submit a cover letter and a resume describing their qualifications and experience, in particular, as they relate to:
- Coordinating and managing community projects
- Familiarity with Wolfe Island organizations/groups
- Health promotion and youth engagement

Please include 3 references – at least one should be from Wolfe Island.
