History:  PAST & PRESENT
Winston M. Cosgrove wrote in his book Wolfe Island Past and Present (published in 1973) the following:
"In 1836 Michael Baker opened the first store in what is now the home of Antoine LaRush.  His son, Edward, moved the store to a brand-new building in 1878."

The Baker family ran the business for 128 years!  The store changed hands when Marie and Arthur Baker retired.  In 1978, the Griffiths family took over the establishment.

It had been a dream of Vince and Sherry Mosier to own a business in Marysville and in 1994 the opportunity to do so was realized.  They purchased the store and renamed it MOSIER'S Groceries & Convenience. Even though the store is now operated by a different family,  the service and hospitality that started at this location 124 years ago, continues.

We invite you to come in and browse.  We appreciate your patronage.

For sale in our store is "Ganounkouesnot", a 44 page book on Wolfe Island's colourful history written by a local resident, Renie Marshall.
