The Central America Solidarity Committee of Kingston invites everyone to come and enjoy a relaxing afternoon on the prettiest patio in the Kingston area, The Wolfe Island Grill. Music will be provided by Cuban Canadian singer and guitarist Mario Franco. There will be dozens of great packages from generous Kingston merchants and artists which will be raffled off - books by prominent Kingston authors, wine and dine packages, paintings, and lots of other exciting prizes.
All money raised will be supporting Horizons of Friendship, a non-profit organization based in Cobourg which helps to fund community projects in Mexico and Central America. This year the funds will support two women's projects, one for domestic workers and the other supporting and advocating for sweatshop workers. Tickets $5 at Tara Foods and Brian's Record Option
