Frontenac Islands - Municipal Elections

Municipal Elections will be held on:
Monday, Nov. 13th
Voting hours are from: 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.

On election day there are two polling stations on Wolfe Island -
one at the Town Hall and one at the Fire Hall.

On Howe Island there is one polling station at the
Howe Island Municipal Office.

Community Open House at the Wolfe Island Library Branch

The Kingston Frontenac Public Library is launching audio book and DVD collections at our Frontenac County branches, thanks to a $35,500 grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation. To celebrate the grant and collections, the Library Board is hosting a community open house at the Wolfe Island Branch on Saturday, November 25, 2006 at 10:15. The Honourable John Gerretsen, MPP for Kingston and the Islands, will be in attendance.

Special Council Meeting

A specvial Frontenac Islands Council meeting will be held on Howe Island at St. Philomena’s Hall at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will deal with the Official Plan amendment and Zoning Bylaw amendment regarding the proposed re-opening of the Keyes Quarry on Howe Island.

and her life up to the time of her sinking and Stories
