Following a short business meeting we will enjoy a presentation by
Matt Ellerbeck on Turtle Conservation. Come out and learn about the
issues turtles are facing and how we can help them! Features a live
turtle friend! Come and learn how we can save our shelled friends,
the turtles.

Matt’s conservation work has been commended by the Ontario
Ministry of Natural Resources, The Cataraqui Conservation Area, and
The Ottawa Amphibian and Reptile Association. We are excited to
have him as our speaker.

The Friends of Big Sandy Bay Corporation is a charitable organization whose members are dedicated to the conservation, restoration and appreciation
of the natural features of the Big Sandy Bay area.

WIBTA"s Annual General Meeting

W.I.B.T.A.’s Annual General Meeting
will be held
Tuesday, January 23rd at 7 p.m.
Wolfe Island United Church Hall
Doors Open at 6:30 p.m.

The associate membership fee is $20 per person/family and
the business membership fee is $50 which includes membership, expanded listing on the website and listing on the tourism/business brochure.

All members and those wishing to become members are urged to attend
and participate in the selection of the executive board for 2007.

Anyone wishing to vote at the AGM will have to have a paid up membership.

Anyone interested in serving as a member of the board is invited to contact
Brian MacDonald Brian Office [brian@c21kingston.com] and put their name forward for consideration.

This is our most important meeting of the year. The decisions taken during this meeting will set the agenda and goals for the next year’s activities.
Please be certain to attend and make your voice heard.
Island business owners are especially encouraged to attend.

WIBTA meetings are held the 3rd Tueday of every month

WAG Recreation Meeting

WAG, the Wolfe Island Action Group will hold a planning meeting on
Monday, Jan. 29th at the Town Hall at 6:30 p.m.

The purpose of the meeting is to develop a
Communities in Action Grant application for
Frontenac Islands Council to consider.

The Township can apply for projects related to increasing physical activity on the island through different programs.

The new community group WAG (Wolfe Island Action Group) has as a mandate of concern for social issues facing the community and to take action.
