Wolfe Island PITCH-IN DAY
is being held
Saturday May 9th, 2009
9:00 - 12:00
(*This is a pick-up of roadside litter only*)
Last year we had a great roster of volunteer ‘litter pickers”. We’re hoping that
you will all be able to do your bit again this year. If you participated in the past
should be receiving a phone call shortly.
If you didn’t participate last year, but would be able to help out this time let us
know. This event is being sponsored by WIBTA and the coordinators are
Maureen Lollar 385 2540, & Linda Thomas 385 1947.
There will be a lot of people on the roadsides on Saturday May 9th 9:00 to 12:00
– please drive carefully.
And finally……please don’t litter!!

Mother's Day Walk to Big Sandy Bay
The Friends of Big Sandy Bay invite you to
Take your mother by the hand (or in your heart)
and join us for a Mother’s Day Walk along the trail to Big Sandy Bay
on Sunday, May 10. Light Refreshments will be available from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
Each family will receive a FREE lavender seedling ready for spring planting.

Scene of the Crime Short Story Contest Deadline
June 1st is the Deadline for Scene of the Crime
SHORT MYSTERY STORY CONTEST, 2009
First Prize: $100
Second Prize: $50
Third Prize: $35
Contest open to Canadian citizens or those resident in Canada and not previously published in the mystery or crime fiction genre.
Previous 1st place winners are ineligible
