County of Frontenac Businesses are invited to join the Frontenac Community Futures Development Corporation and the Business Development Bank of Canada to participate in a trade show in conjunction with the 30th anniversary of Small Business Week®. Small Business Week pays tribute to the important contribution that small businesses make to the national economy. This year the theme is- Your dream, your business, your passion

The Trade show is an opportunity for local businesses to promote their products and services to other businesses and residents. It will be held Wednesday October 21, 2009 from 3:00pm to 7:00pm at the Verona Lions Hall. The cost for a table top display is $25 and businesses will be accepted on a first come, first served bases.

A topic of concern to all doing business and living on the Island.

Gene Manion's book, "Flying on the Edge Highlights WI Historical Society AGM

2009 Annual General Meeting (AGM)

The AGM will be followed by a presentation
by former Wolfe Islander, Gene Manion,
who will introduce his recently published book, “Flying on the Edge,”
which chronicles his adventures as a pilot in Newfoundland.
The AGM provides the opportunity to meet Gene and to get acopy of his book.

“Flying on the Edge” is a vivid description of the Newfoundland people, politicians and sealing industry during the period from 1960 - 2000 and provides a vivid account of bush flying.
