This is the Friends of Big Sandy Bay’s fundraising event for the year.

FRONTENAC ISLANDS=WIBTA YOUTH INTERN POSITION
YOUTH INTERN POSITION
Wolfe Island Business and Tourism Association, in partnership with the
Township of Frontenac Islands, has been awarded an Eastern Ontario
Development Program Youth Internship Grant through the Frontenac
Community Futures Development Corporation.
Interns employed through the program will normally be graduates with a
degree, diploma or Ontario Ministry Certificate from a secondary/post
secondary institution, and be under 30 years of age. Proof is required.
Applicants should be residents of Rural Frontenac County. The initial
period for the position will be seven months with the possibility for
renewal.
The person chosen to fill the position will have a keen interest in local
government. He/She will be well organized, and will be comfortable
working independently, as well as with large and varied community
groups. He/She will be project-oriented and able to see commonalities
between multiple projects to ensure good value in planning expenditures.
He/she will consult with the municipality and the community to set
criteria and evaluate recommended projects that will come out of the
Amenities Agreement consultations.
The Intern will help to research and develop municipal policies in the area of human resources, workplace safety and others. The successful applicant will also assist in the planning and implementation of existing and new community events.

Frontenac Islands Official Plan Review
Frontenac Islands will hold an
Open House & Public meeting to consider revisions to the Official Plan.
The open house will be held at the St. Philomena Hall,
Howe Island from 5-8 pm.
