The Festival will be held Aug 8th and 9th 2008

The Town Hall Hootenanny Returns! 8:30pm start
featuring Carolyn Mark, Jenny Whiteley, Joey Wright, Luther Wright and friends
The Abrams Brothers will be opening up the festivities.
Flying V Productions showcase at The General Wolfe Hotel 10:30pm
(this is a new event) Featuring The Handsome Furs!! with special guests local heroes Magic Jordan
Saturday Aug. 9th, Main Stage at the Marysville Baseball diamond 1pm start
Wintersleep, Cadence Weapon, Land of Talk, Jason Collett, Plants and Animals,
Tony Scherr, The Acorn, The D’urbervilles, Music Maul, P.S. I love you!
A community festival, proceeds go to the Wolfe Island Community Center.

Scene of the Crime Festival
will be held
Saturday, August 9th
Canada’s top mystery writers and readers’ unite on the island, where Canada’s first crime writer Grant Allen was born and raised, for a full day of programs, panels, the ever-popular short story contest and a brand new writing workshop.
The Grant Allen Award will be presented to New York Times bestselling author Joy Fielding, a native of Toronto. Filled with complex, three-dimensional characters, novels such as See Jane Run, Don’t Cry Now, The Deep End, The Other Woman, Mad River Road and her latest, Heartstopper have been a real inspiration to Canadian crime writers.
