Our modern but comfortable country home is surrounded by gardens. Early risers can watch the sunrise over the St. Lawrence River from the second story deck, listen to the birds sing and view cattle and buffalo roaming in the fields nearby. The sunset is best enjoyed while relaxing on the patio. The stars seem close as you stroll in the evening, listening to the distant sounds of the foxes and the coyotes, the frogs and the crickets.
On
rainy or cool evenings, you can choose a movie from our large collection,
play one of the many games on hand or simply relax. If you wish company,
your hosts will be happy to describe Island life and suggest the best places
to visit while you are here. Tea and cookies are served at 9:00 p.m.
Your choice of a hearty breakfast will be accompanied by muffins fresh from the oven, homemade jams and locally produced honey and maple syrup. In season, you will also be offered fresh picked produce from our organic vegetable garden.
Your room features pine furniture including a rocker, handmade quilts and collectibles. The bathroom is large, modern and spotless.
If we have no other guests, we can accommodate an infant or child.
We are situated close to both ferries serving the Island. From Kingston, we are five minutes from the Wolfe Island dock in the village of Marysville. From New York State, we are two minutes from Horne’s Ferry dock.
