Launch of the Big Sandy Bay Bus
Please join us for the official launch of the Big Sandy Bay Shuttle Bus
What: Kick off celebration for the Big Sandy Bay Shuttle Bus
When: Friday, June 29 10:00 a.m.
Where: Town Hall, Wolfe Island
Details: Beginning Saturday, June 30 and then every Saturday, Sunday and holiday Monday in July and August, a shuttle bus will transport visitors to Big Sandy Bay Conservation Area from Town Hall, very close to the Wolfe Island ferry dock in Marysville. This free shuttle bus will make Big Sandy Bay more accessible to visitors who don't own a car, and should ease some of the vehicle demand on the ferry during peak travel periods.
This 2018 pilot project is part of the Ferry by Foot campaign and is made possible with funding from RTO 9, Tourism Kingston and Kingston Accommodation Partners. Many of the participating partners have been invited and will be available for photos and questions.
