ATTENTION - Islanders and Summer Residents
Recycling item groupings updated (effective July 1, 2019):
♻️ PLASTICS & CANS - Yogurt, cottage cheese and sour cream containers. Hard fruit containers. Cans (steel and aluminum).
♻️ FIBRE (PAPER) - Milk & juice jugs (plastic spout must be removed). Paper, boxboard, paper cups & egg containers. Grocery bags (to be bundled inside of another or knotted). Zip Lock bags (top to be cut off).
♻️ FOOD GRADE GLASS (Clear & coloured glass bottle and jars) - Glass needs to be cleaned, rinsed and tops removed. Labels do not need to be removed.
♻️ STYROFOAM (White Styrofoam only) - need to be rinsed.
♻️ CARDBOARD - Flatten
🚫 These are WASTE items (under current facility capacity) - Dog food bags, kitty litter bags, water softner salt bags. Saran wrap, meat wrap, pasta bags, cereal box liners, chip bags, frozen fruit and vegetable bags, and salad bags.

RECYCLE & REDUCE WASTE!
